Latin American magnates met in Cartagena, Colombia, this past Tuesday to Thursday. Among the select list of participants were Carlos Slim of México; Julio Mario Santo Domingo of Colombia; Carlos Ardila, Gustavo Sarmiento, Paolo Rocca, Federico Braun and Alfredo Román from Argentina; Andrónico Luksic and Álvaro Saieh from Chile; Joao Marinho, David Feffer and Antonio Moreira, from Brazil; the Central American Stanley Motta, as well as others.

PM Communications: "Modelo empresarial, Alvaro Noboa"

The International News Agency PM Communications interviewed Alvaro Noboa, the biggest employer of Ecuador. Calling him a "model of business development and entrepreneurship", the News Agency affirms Noboa is not only a very succesful businessman on the country and worldwide; he is also someone who proves with actions what a businessman should be. Noboa is a social activist, a philantropist in many areas, such as giving free medicines and free medical care for poor people.

Along with the Crusade For a New Humanity Foundation, an organization he founded on the 70s, Alvaro Noboa works everyday for the sake of poor people in Ecuador. The medical staff of the Foundation struggles daily against diseases like anemia and paludism on provinces such as Los Rios, Esmeraldas, and Manabi.

Mobile clinics from the Medical Brigades travel across the country providing free medical attention, as well as free medicine to mothers and children, adults and the elderly who are in need.
The Medical Staff constantly travels to the Coast zone of the country, fighting against recurring diseases on the people. In addition, a Parasite Prevention Program has been taken into effect in schools all around the country.

The many resources Alvaro Noboa has, allow him to donate more than 600 wheelchairs to those who need it, as well as 300 computers with Internet Access in order to promote education. As of September, 2010, more than 10,000 people in Guayas province had received medical attention, and during the same year, more than 20,000 people received the help from Alvaro Noboa's Foundation.
